The Ordinance of Parliament calling for the convening of the Westminster Assembly on June 13, 1643 stated:  "Whereas, amongst the infinite blessings of Almighty God upon this nation, none is or can be more dear to us than the purity of our religion."  May we also be willing to live and die for the purity of our religion.
